Ohio State Parks created the Storybook Trails -  " Ohio’s Storybook Trails bring books to life for children and families. Storybook Trails are lined with pages from a children’s book to blend the fun of outdoor exploration with reading. The Ohio Department of Natural Resources launched the Storybook Trail program in 2019 to promote the importance of literacy, a healthy lifestyle, and connecting with nature."  On the official website , there are maps to see where you can find the trails. They are getting more and more popular as cities start making their own story book trails.  I will always encourage my kids to read and I will always buy them books if they want them (within reason of course!) John Bryan State Park is about to see us frequently. This is a state park that I don't think we have given enough time to exploring and we will be back to walk more, hike more, and explore more. For this trip we went on the Storybook Trail to read while we hike. Next time we plan on bringing some books to add to the Little Library. Have you heard of Little Libraries? We have one in our front yard and you will find them randomly all over the world. Each Storybook Trail usually has a Little Library next to it as well. The goal of Little Libraries are, " Little Free Library book exchanges are an excellent vehicle for areas without easy access to books. Through the Impact Library Program, we provide no-cost Little Free Library book exchanges to communities where books are scarce. We’ve provided more than 1,350 libraries through this program."
