And then...

I would like to shout out a BLOG that I read and enjoy when referring to different outdoor questions whether it involve gear or even trail games.

I would like to share a story about the trail game AND THEN... so here is how it works. And then - everyone needs to use their imagination. First, one person starts the story that ends in a cliff hanger, any topic, and when they are ready for the next person to take over the story they say AND THEN.... someone else in the group will continue the story. If you get creative it can go on forever.

E and I decided to play this game one day. I started...

"One day there were 2 little boys walking through the forest, when they came upon a cabin! And then..."

E says, "No mom, they didn't find a cabin they were going up the mountain before they saw the cabin. Then the little boys got lost."

So I corrected... "One day there were 2 little boys were going up the mountain before they saw the cabin. Then the little boys got lost. And then..."

E says, "No mom, the story goes like this.." and precedes to tell me the whole story.

The moral or lets loosely say point of this story is really that we did enjoy our story time and even though he is only four and didn't quite understand the concept of the game, it allowed him to use his imagination! And then... I got to hear and enjoy a funny story that he made up which he did end up using my original part of the story just later on! Gotta love these #guentheradventures
