Everybody's Tree House - Mt. Airy Forest

It started with a text from my brother in law. "Want to bring the kids and play outside?" Our answer, "Yes!" A few hours later another text pops in, "Want to go see a treehouse?" Our answer, "Um, who would say no to that? Yes!" This is how we learned of this little gem in the middle of a city. Mt. Healthy part of Cincinnati includes a forest of actually bigger than I would have guessed for a city- about 1,459 acres! Everybody's Tree House - Mt. Airy Forest is, "Accessible from Mt. Airy and Westwood, Mt. Airy Forest’s includes miles of hiking trails, bridle trails (located off Diehl Road) for horseback riders, and multi-use mountain biking trail. Mt. Airy has Ohio’s only wheelchair accessible public treehouse, an enclosed dog park and disc golf. Or just come for a picnic we have tables, charcoal grills and swing sets waiting for you." Cincinnati Parks also includes a lot of really good information regarding closures and a detailed park map for us hiking trail blazers! A PDF off the website includes the detailed and helpful trail map! It is a hidden gem in the middle of Cincinnati and it looks like a magical tree house where a fairy or a troll might live in the middle of the woods.

Add it to your list, it is located in Mount Airy Forest and has a sign that reads “Everybody’s Treehouse” at its entrance. We took the trail that follows under the treehouse called Beechwood Trail, about 1.15miles long. It was snow covered, but beautiful! It goes along next to a creek and had a bridge along with stairs. While the treehouse is (currently closed February 2021) but is wheelchair and fully ADA accessible. The trail is not, just so you know before you go!

The treehouse closed didn't stop us from enjoying the snow. We did the classics!

Snowball fight!

Visited the park and spent a couple of hours just playing outside with the cousins! We swung on the swings, climbed, spiderwebbed or monkey crawled, and slide down the slide!

E made his favorite... a SNOWMAN!

It was a good snowman too, mommy might have helped. It was fun!

Gotta love these #guentheradventures
