Lake Logan (First, Second, Third..)

Lake Logan has a story.

The story of Lake Logan State Park revolves around.. my husband and I's anniversary. One anniversary, our first one as a married couple, we ended up rented a cabin on Lake Logan. We traveled down to the Lake and close to the boat dock and rental we took a picture.

Every time we visit the area, for instance a trip to Hocking Hills, we end up making a stop here.

Even a 5 minute stop! Just to visit.

Our first anniversary has been the only anniversary we have truly only "gone away" for, so it's held a special place for us. We have brought the boys to this park this year twice and it has been a fun and different experience both times. The first time was POURING down rain, so we got out of the car and put our rain jackets on and jumped around in puddles! We were soaked! We took our selfie and got back in the car about 10 minutes later. (Mom came prepared with extra dry clothes so the boys were quickly changed and we were on our way.)

The second time we brought the boys it was freezing cold and the wind was bitter. We hiked a short trail on the west side of the lake. B was not a fan of this trail due to the hiking earlier in the day and ended up sitting half way on the trail. With a few sneaky pieces of chocolate mom saves in her pocket for these types of occasions we were back on the trail.

E found a pinecone and B found a baby pine cone on the stick! We are making our adventures, even short ones but full of memories on our #guentheradventures.
