Twin Creek Metropark
Have you ever heard of the book, "Going on a bear hunt?" How about the "A, b, c" song? I know these are things that any parent reading this is probably shaking their head saying, how would I not know this book and song?! I have them memorized! Well, one activity that we do quite often on our hiking adventures are the following two activities.
The first activity is called.... iSpy. I know, I know. Groundbreaking! We play iSpy colors, iSpy type of trees, and the boys favorite is iSpy the item. How we play this game is simple, we say iSpy a mushroom... and then you have the find a mushroom.
A variation of this game is the storytelling game. E loves to make up stories and because E loves to do it, B loves to do it too. It's like monkey see monkey do over here with these two brothers. Here is a story they told as we walked through the trail.Once upon a time...

there was a family. A little boy went into the forest and he walked around in a circle or banana shape to find the special magical cool flower and Blippi balloons.
The little boy was with his older brother, mommy, and daddy in the forest. It had a high hill almost taller than 1,000 houses. And then..
after saying I love you to my brother and mommy and daddy we went up the super tall super tall millions tall hill they found a yellow and brown leaf with lots of holes.
The next mushroom they found mommy said is a fun guy, but I don't know what makes him fun. So he said hi.
The story was over, but then we found a caterpillar which is super cool.
The End (at least of this #guentheradventures)
Aside from the story, I highly suggest making a trip over to Twin Creek Metropark. It is beautiful, here is information from the website: "Part of the Twin Valley Conservation Corridor, Twin Creek MetroPark offers mature forests within the breathtaking ravines — an ideal spot for hiking, backpacking and camping. Home to a dozen different types of mussels and 62 types of fish, the Twin Creek is one of the cleanest waterways in the state and offers some of the best fishing and paddling in the region."
