Adventuring in 2022 Hocking Hills Edition

Let's start... Hocking Hills.

An Ohio gem.

A go-to place.

Is it overdone?

No.

Would I recommend?

Yes. 100%

Does my family who lives over three hours away make this a day trip?

Again... Yes.

But.. we have also camped here, both in cabins (in Hocking Hills State Park and in the surrounding area) as well as the campground. It is always beautiful, no matter the season! What does change is how crowded it gets because honestly, it has been crowded before while we visited. It's a popular, beautiful place to hike!

We also brought pip!

Would that beauty not make a little crowd worth it? Go check it out! In the meantime enjoy our trip through photos.

Again.. these boys and the pictures by the signs. At least I got one face in the picture!

The fall leaves were beautiful. My parents are amazing people, I was so glad that we were able to share this trip with them, and the weather was perfect.

Look, it's us!

Did you know that if you catch a falling leaf it is good luck? Let's see who catches a leaf...

E? Yes!
Mama? Yes!

B? Yes!
Papa? Yes!

The boys did a good job taking our picture in the cave!

Exploring the trails and finding new favorite spots.

Okay.. you caught me I mixed two different Hocking Hills 2022 trips together. Took you long enough to notice!

Social Media who?! Let's take the picture for us.

Beautiful!

We do not go on hikes without a bag of random items and of course snacks and treats. The boys enjoyed using their magnifying glasses to see and explore the trails and when they needed a little boost of energy mom had a sucker for being such good hikers!

Let the kids just in the water!

Let the kids play in the sand!

Let the kids have fun, let them explore, and make the memory with them!

B's the sandman!

I think you could honestly just spend so much time admiring the waterfalls and nature at this park.

We were outside... for so many amazing hours. Playing games, with light wands, hiking the hills of hocking and more. Where to next Hornet?!

Let's find out in part three of #guentheradventures
