Hershey has a strange official city fact. Hershey, PA has no legal status as an incorporated municipality. The town’s municipal services are provided by Derry Township, which is part of Dauphin County, PA. Hershey’s Chocolate World and the main area of Hershey features over 100 street lamps shaped like Hershey’s Kisses (some which are wrapped and some are not).
80 million Hershey’s Kisses are produced each day.
Milton Hershey put a $300 deposit on the doomed Titanic voyage, but had to change his plans at the last minute due to an emergency. His wife, Kitty, was seriously sick.

Hershey and his wife weren’t able to have children, so instead they focused on helping other children by opening the Hershey Industrial School. Today, the Milton Hershey School serves 1,900 boys and girls each year.
We stayed at the Hershey Camping Resort. This campground has a very specific speed limit of 5 1/2 and this is because an original hershey chocolate bar was 5 1/2 inches long.
Hershey Chocolate World is a GIANT chocolate store with free and paid activities inside. We rode the free chocolate ride and then bought some chocolate of course!
